How to Talk About Common Furniture (Simple and Short)

1. Living Room

• Sofa:
  • “We have a large sofa.”
  • “The sofa is [color/comfortable].”
• Coffee Table:
  • “There is a coffee table in front of the sofa.”
  • “The table is [material: wood/glass]”
• TV:
  • “Our TV is on a stand.”
  • “We watch it often.”

2. Bedroom

• Bed:
  • “We have a queen-sized bed.”
  • “The bed is very cozy.”
• Wardrobe/Closet:
  • “The wardrobe holds our clothes.”
  • “It’s [color/large].”
• Nightstand:
  • “A nightstand is next to the bed.”
  • “There is a lamp on it.”

3. Kitchen

• Dining Table:
  • “We have a round dining table.”
  • “It seats four people.”
• Chairs:
  • “There are matching chairs.”
  • “They are [material: wooden/metal].”
• Cabinets:

  • “They store our dishes.”

4. Bathroom

• Sink:

• Shower/Bathtub:

5. Office/Study

Example Paragraph:

“In the living room, we have a big sofa and a wooden coffee table. The TV is on a stand. In my bedroom, there’s a cozy bed and a large wardrobe. A nightstand with a lamp is next to the bed. In the kitchen, we have a round dining table with four wooden chairs. The cabinets store our dishes. The bathroom has a sink, a shower, and a clean toilet.
