Evaluative questions

Evaluative questions require you to judge or assess the information presented in the text. They often involve making judgments about the author’s arguments, evidence, or overall effectiveness.

Examples of evaluative questions:

  • “Do you agree with the author’s argument?”
  • “Is the evidence presented in the text convincing?”
  • “What are the strengths and weaknesses of this essay?”
  • “How effective is the author’s use of figurative language?”

Evaluative questions test your ability to think critically and form your own opinions about the text.
