Prepositions क्या है?

Prepositions वे शब्द होते हैं जो संज्ञा (noun), सर्वनाम (pronoun) या वाक्यांश (phrase) के साथ प्रयोग होते हैं और वाक्य में उनका संबंध अन्य शब्दों से स्थापित करते हैं। इन्हें हिंदी में ‘पूर्वसर्ग’ कहा जाता है।

आइए एक वाक्य लें: “The cat is on the table.”

• “on” क्या दर्शा रहा है? यह बता रहा है कि बिल्ली कहाँ है। तो, “on” एक preposition है।

बेहतर समझ

Preposition ढूंढने के लिए, खुद से पूछें, “यह किस स्थान, समय, दिशा या तरीके को बता रहा है?” यह संज्ञा, सर्वनाम, या वाक्यांश का संबंध अन्य शब्दों से स्थापित करता है।

Example: “She sits under the tree.”

• “under” क्या दर्शा रहा है? यह स्थान को दर्शा रहा है। तो, “under” एक preposition है।

हर वाक्य में Preposition नहीं होता

कुछ वाक्य ऐसे होते हैं जहां preposition का उपयोग नहीं किया जाता।

Example: “The dog barks.”

• यहाँ कोई preposition नहीं है, बस एक क्रिया है।

   नोट फ्रिज पर है।
