Discussion about the current weather:
Anjali: Hey Riya, this weird heat in February! I’m sweating buckets.
(अरे रिया, यह कैसी अजीब गर्मी है फरवरी में! मुझे तो पसीने-पसीने हो रहा है।)
Riya: Seriously! I thought it was just me feeling this hot. No matter how high I crank the fan, it doesn’t help!
(सच में! मैं तो सोच रही थी कि क्या सिर्फ मुझे ही इतनी गर्मी लग रही है। मुझे समझ नहीं आता कि पंखा चलाने से कोई फायदा ही नहीं!)
Anjali: I don’t know what’s going on today. Just last night, I was under a full blanket because it was so cold. Now, it’s like a furnace is blazing outside!
(पता नहीं आज ऐसा क्या हो गया है। कल रात तो इतनी ठंड थी कि मुझे पूरी चादर ओढ़नी पड़ी। अब सुबह होते ही मानो कोई भट्टी जल रही हो!)
Riya: Maybe it’s a heatwave. I heard something about it on TV.

Anjali: Could be. But this kind of weather usually happens in April-May, right? It’s still February!

Riya: It’s probably the effect of global warming. The weather has gone completely haywire.

Anjali: You’re right. These sudden changes in weather are not only annoying, but also bad for our health.

Riya: Absolutely. Especially for the elderly and children, it becomes even more difficult.
